The site collects what you type into the quote form. Your footage stays on your computer.

cutroom is run by Samuel Garcia and Daniel Luther. We decide how the data on this page is used.

The site sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising trackers. Fonts and images are served from our own domain.

Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (IP address, time, page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We do not use those logs to identify visitors.

The form sends us your name, work email, organization, event, dates, number of media days, languages and anything you write in the message field.

We use it for one thing: to answer you and prepare your quote. That is the legal basis too, since you are asking us to take steps before a possible contract.

We do not add you to a mailing list.

Three providers, each for one job: FormSubmit delivers the form to our inbox, Google hosts that inbox, and Vercel hosts the site.

They may process data outside the European Union, including in the United States. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

We keep your request for as long as the conversation or the working relationship lasts. Ask us to delete it and we will.

The cutroom app runs on your own Mac. Your video files are not sent to us or to anyone else: the video files themselves never leave your Mac.

To sort a clip, the app sends about a dozen small low-resolution stills and the speech audio of that clip for analysis. They are deleted as soon as the clip is analysed.

We keep the transcripts and the filing results with your project for as long as the project runs, so that you can search what was said and we can support you. Ask us to delete them and we will.

Question sheets you send us to prepare a project are handled under the agreement for that project.

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, receive a copy, or object to how we use it.
